Summary
LLMemory is local-first. Your conversations are stored in a database on your own device. If you enable sync, your data is written to storage you own and control (your Google Drive or your GitHub account). LLMemory's operator does not host, store, or have access to the contents of your conversations.
Data we access
- Local AI tool sessions (e.g. Codex, Claude Code) that you choose to import, read from your own machine.
- Web AI conversations captured by the browser extension only on pages and at times you direct.
- Google Drive — if you connect it, using the
drive.filescope, which limits access to only the files LLMemory itself creates. We cannot see your other Drive files. - GitHub — if you connect it, only to read and write the files LLMemory uses to store your vault.
What we store
Nothing on our servers. The only server component is a stateless function used to complete the sign-in (OAuth) handshake; it does not receive or retain the contents of your conversations. Sync moves data directly between your device and your own storage over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Optional client-side encryption of the stored files is available as an opt-in setting.
Data sharing
We do not sell or share your data. Your data moves only between your device and the storage you connect.
Your control
You can export or delete your vault at any time. Disconnecting a provider revokes LLMemory's access to that storage.
